This global management company wanted to move to Microsoft Exchange for their home office but continue to use Lotus Notes and Domino at dozens of spoke offices around the world. The requirement was to configure Exchange and Notes so that they could share directory information, and that both the Exchange and Notes environments had to be able to use the same Internet address.
Technotics developed methods to migrate their existing Notes mail into Exchange. We then developed a mail routing system using forwarding addresses and a buffer server to pass emails between the two environments. Exchange and Notes were configured so that messages that contained doclinks in Notes could be passed to Exchange/Outlook users.
The company has run in this coexistence state successfully for several years.
