Projects: For a Fortune 500 Clinical Diagnostics Company
- Migrate
Users from Lotus Notes/Domino to Microsoft Outlook/Exchange
After a merger,
this firm found itself with 8,000 e-mail clients, half Lotus
Notes and half Microsoft Exchange, each with a complete
infrastructure of hubs, routers and gateways.
Andy Pedisich
acted as the Senior Consultant of the Enterprise Systems
Architectural Team for this leading diagnostics firm that
provides clinical testing, information and services to physicians,
hospitals, managed care organizations, employers and government
agencies.
Andy was
responsible for the design and implementation of a Microsoft
Lotus Notes Connector server system that enabled e-mail and
directory information to be synchronized across the two environments.
He also designed
and implemented a SendMail relay and anti-spamming system,
a Webshield anti-virus server system, and an X.509 Secure Server
system that allowed users of Lotus Notes and MS
Exchange to encrypt mail sent to Internet based contacts.
Andy's strategic
planning at this client helped to convert the 4,000 Lotus Notes
users to MS Exchange, and all 8,000 users to a single
desktop and mail/collaboration system using Windows 2000 Professional
and Microsoft Outlook.
