Background
with client - a long relationship
Andy Pedisich's
first project with Lotus Notes at this east coast pharmaceutical
firm was a Notes V2.1.to V3.0 upgrade in the early 90s. Client
wanted proof that V2.1 applications and mail clients would survive
the upgrade to 3.0. They called on Andy and Technotics
to build a test lab and develop testing/installation/upgrade
procedures which ensured the project's success.
Since then,
Andy has seen this firm through upgrades from variations of
V3 to multiple versions of R4, to R5.03, R5.05, R5.0.6a, 5.0.10
and finally to Lotus ND6. Andy was responsible for the Domino
Directory, the Domino Server Design and was third
tier support for the server and end user environments.
Andy has
also designed and implemented their Microsoft's Internet
Information Servers, designed strategic disaster recovery
plans for the Lotus Domino server environment, and provided
strategy for the implementation of the MS Exchange Lotus
Notes Connector which synchronizes directories and allows
mail to flow between Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange.
Andy also
had the senior strategic planning role in a project to consolidate
hundreds of distributed, multi-domain WIntel32 based Domino
servers down to 12 Model 840 IBM iSeries systems strategically
located in 4 data centers in the US and UK. The
entire clustered server environment has been upgraded to Notes/Domino
6 and will support over 100,000 users and 10,000 Notes applications
all over the globe.
Andy is
currently training Administrators and Developers in Lotus Notes/Domino
R7 in preparation for their Upgrade Project.
